Bunny Care & Welfare Standards

At Grange Garden, the well-being of our bunnies always comes first. Our bunny program is rooted in responsible care, education, and compassion — with ongoing guidance from experienced caretakers and rescue partners. We believe animal care should evolve, and we remain committed to learning, improving, and maintaining transparency in how we care for our animals.

Our Care Standards

  • Rotational environments: Bunnies rotate between calm home settings and our garden habitats to reduce stress and provide variety.
  • Limited interaction windows: Gentle, supervised interactions only, with built-in rest periods each day.
  • Enrichment & stimulation: Daily enrichment through toys, foraging activities, and safe exploration.
  • Nutrition & hydration: Timothy hay, leafy greens, organic vegetables, and evening pellets; fresh water at all times.
  • Clean, monitored habitats: Habitats are cleaned and maintained regularly by trained caretakers.
  • Experienced guidance: Ongoing input from experienced rabbit caretakers and rescue partners.
  • Health-first policy: Any bunny showing signs of stress is immediately given rest and removed from interactions.

Our Commitment to Ongoing Care

Animal care standards should always evolve. We remain committed to continuing education, thoughtful evaluation of our practices, and ongoing improvement of our care program. We welcome feedback from reputable caretakers and professionals and believe transparency builds trust with our community.

How Guests Can Help Keep Our Bunnies Happy

  • Please follow staff guidance during bunny interactions
  • Gentle hands and calm voices help our bunnies feel safe
  • Some bunnies may choose not to be held — and that’s okay
  • Help us give our bunnies space when they’re resting
